2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness | Schomp Subaru

Published on Oct 25, 2023 by Schomp Subaru

“Summer adventuring is almost over, but plenty of snow-season fun is coming.  We think it will be great, especially if there’s a brand-new, 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness to help tackle snow, ice and mud. This almost perfect off-road-capable vehicle is coming soon to Schomp Subaru.

The Crosstrek Wilderness is the third addition to Subaru’s Wilderness offerings, which include the Forester and Outback Wilderness.

Automotive reviewers are praising the 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness, with a couple comparing it to a sure-footed mountain goat (see below).

As MotorTrend.com put it, “Subaru owners already tend to enjoy adventuring, exploring, and being active. The Wilderness is just meant to keep up a bit better with all that.”

Meanwhile, KBB.com chimed in with, “Now you might be wondering, can the Crosstrek Wilderness take you into, well, the wilderness? The 2-word review goes like this: Oh yeah! … With X-Mode engaged and the vehicle set to a specific dirt drive mode, the Crosstrek Wilderness scrambled around like a mountain goat.”

CarandDriver.com echoed, “…our first drive of the Crosstrek Wilderness—which took place largely on trails through the desert surrounding Zion National Park in Utah— revealed a surprisingly spry and adept machine, one that was able to climb steeper hills and traverse more treacherous terrain than expected while maintaining the comfortable on-road demeanor of a standard Crosstrek.

Here’s some of what makes the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness so special:

182 hp, 2.5 liter Subaru Boxer engine with lower final-drive ratio to improve low-speed climbing (up to a 38 degree grade!) and a stronger rear differential. Subaru’s Symmetrical AWD to offer stability and power distribution to ensure traction in weather and trail conditions. 9.3” of ground clearance, front skid plate and bumpers that improve approach and departure angles, resting on 17” matte black alloy off-road wheels and all-terrain Yokohama GEOLANDAR® tires to enhance performance in all sorts of conditions. Increased towing capacity of 3,500 lbs. And Standard roof rails that support 700 lbs. at rest (tent, anyone?)  Tons of protective plastic cladding to take on off-road dings, with copper accents, LED fog lights and available exclusive-to-Wilderness Geyser Blue paint.

Inside, there’s easy-to-clean StarTex® vegan upholstery with contrast stitching and copper accents, dual-zone climate control, heated seats, wireless phone charger and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Safety is handled adeptly with Subaru’s top-rated EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, which includes traffic monitoring, lane-keeping, pre-collision braking, adaptive cruise control with lane centering. The system has been calibrated for the Crosstrek Wilderness’s higher stance.

Subaru’s STARLINK Multimedia is standard, with integrated wireless Apple CarPlay® and Adroid Auto™. Infotainment is handled on a standard 11.6” high-res touchscreen. An optional package offers a power moonroof, upgraded speaker system and a 10-way power driver’s seat.

We can’t wait to show this new Crosstrek Wilderness off to Colorado drivers at Schomp Subaru. It’s like Subaru had you in mind when they designed it!
