How Subaru’s 2024 WRX TR Is Upping the Ante on Performance  | Schomp Subaru

Published on Nov 7, 2023 by Schomp Subaru

Greater performance and handling with beefed up brakes and suspension – and a manual transmission? Subaru enthusiasts are saying “Yes, please!” to the 2024 Subaru WRX TR, introduced recently at Subiefest Florida (Florida? Really?). A refreshed version of the legendary rally car favorite is meeting here with lots of grins. We’ll see it early next year at Schomp Subaru.

Here’s why the 2024 Subaru WRX TR is stirring up such excitement:

Revised suspension with stiffer springs, revised damping rates and retuned steering rack. Symmetrical AWD  High-performance Brembo braking system with six-piston front calipers and two-piston rear calipers, larger pads and rotors and bigger brake master cylinder  Standard Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires with more grip and braking performance and new 19-inch multi-spoke, satin gray wheels EyeSight Driver Assistance Technology – standard for the first time on the 2024 WRX TR’s manual transmission and a rear-vision camera Recaro® seats covered in black and gray Ultrasuede designed to provide more support for driver and front passenger – driver’s seat includes eight-way power adjustment.  Wide-body design emphasizing the WRX TR’s capabilities. Aggressive stance, broad front hood scoop, integrated low-profile rear spoiler, compact headlights and rear taillights  that Subaru says “are designed to glow with a look reminiscent of volcanic magma.”

Yikes!

The Subaru WRX TR retains its six-speed, manual transmission 2.4-liter turbo BOXER® engine with 271hp  and 258 lb-ft of torque. With the control that a manual transmission provides, the WRX TR continues to be a perfect rally car candidate, but it’s also perfect for weekend fun driving.

The 2024 WRX TR doesn’t stint on the creature comforts, like the Subaru STARLINK 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus infotainment system with high-def touchscreen that controls media, climate and vehicle settings. And more: standard wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, AM/FM/HD radio, Bluetooth hands-free phone/text/streaming, SiriusXM® and SiriusXM Travel Link ® with a four-month free subscription.

We think you’ll agree with TopSpeed.com’s assessment, “Heck yeah, the Subaru WRX just got a whole lot better.” We can’t wait to try it out here in Colorado, which everyone knows is the Subaru capital of America.
