Subaru Starts 2024 by Changing Things up in Big and Small Ways | Schomp Subaru

The auto industry thrives on change, which is why every model year brings new bells and whistles to many models. Here’s what’s happening at Subaru:

2024 Subaru Crosstrek – A new year and a new generation of this popular subcompact hatchback. It comes with either a 2.0 or 2.5-literally flat-four engine. Subaru added the Wilderness version this year, which – as the name implies – is more rugged and stiffer and more able to handle rougher going in the great outdoors. No hybrid yet, but likely in a year or so.

2024 Subaru Forester – A few small changes are being made to this workhorse model. Some changes to the chrome trim on the Touring model. The headlights on the Premium model are now LEDs. Inside there are coat hooks on both sides in the rear and the center console has been upgraded with contrast stitching. The Forester’s outstanding safety and driver-assist features, its roominess and excellent visibility stay the same. It’s a great family vehicle.

2024 Subaru Outback – An updated front end gives the Outback Wilderness a fresh new look. Rocky Mountain enthusiasts should be happy to see the changes made to the Outback’s Onyx and Onyx Edition XT. Sleeping “under the stars” while sheltered in back is better with the standard moonroof. Both trims and the Wilderness will have heated steering wheels. 

Subaru has made a name for its SUVs/crossovers, but builds some pretty amazing cars, too, and there also have been a few changes in them for 2024. 

2024 Subaru Impreza – A new model year, a new generation of the compact, which celebrates by growing into a five-door hatchback. It offers two engine variants and an 11.6-inch infotainment screen. Of course Subaru’s outstanding driver assistance features are still part of the package on all of its three trim levels.

2024 Subaru Legacy – The big change to the midsize sedan is a new 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. What doesn’t change is the spaciousness, safety and great ride.

2024 Subaru WRX – Get ready for an exciting ride in the WRX TR, which comes with a stiffer suspension and better Brembo brakes. New 19-inch wheels and sportier upholstery on the TR make it even sportier. And you can still get a manual transmission on the WRX, to which Subaru added its award-winning EyeSight safety and driver assist features for 2024. Who says fun can’t be safe, too?

2024 Subaru BRZ – Subaru added a new trim level: the BRZ tS, bringing better suspension and brakes to the party, along with touches of gold, and 18-inch wheels, as well as blue accents on the inside. Like the WRX, manual transmissions are available and Subaru’s EyeSight driver assist suite comes standard.
