You Can Help Schomp Subaru Support Blood Cancer Patients | Schomp Subaru

Cancer is a diagnosis that we all dread, and that’s why Schomp Subaru and Subaru of America are continuing to partner with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® for an eighth year. It’s appropriate to make the announcement during June, which is Subaru Loves to Care® month.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® supports families and children impacted by blood cancer with money for research. LLS also has a Patient Aid Program that provides patients with financial assistance.

During June, Schomp Subaru is providing warm blankets and handwritten messages of hope to blood cancer patients, because, as Sr. VP of Marketing for Subaru of America said, “Everyone deserves the opportunity to lead a healthy life, and for those in the fight of their lives facing cancer, we want to extend our heartfelt encouragement and admiration. Their courage is an inspiration to us all and together with our retailers, we’re committed to showing our support with a measure of warmth and love from our Subaru family to theirs.”

Blood cancers may not get as much notice as some other kinds, but a new leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma patient is diagnosed every three minutes in the U.S. They face a very difficult journey through treatment. The blankets and hopeful messages help to comfort them when they are feeling cold and weak from the disease and its treatment. Schomp Subaru and other Subaru of America retailers will have helped nearly 300,000 blood cancer patients by the end of this year.

In addition to the blankets and messages, Subaru is also matching donations to LLS.org during the entire month of June, up to $150,000 – this is another great way for our customers to help this very important organization.
